90 North Foundation is honoured to have Prof Dan Laffoley leading its Special Advisory Panel, through which experts from relevant fields provide their hard-won expertise on a pro bono basis to the Foundation. Dan is a leading expert on ocean conservation, and is currently Emeritus Marine Vice-Chair of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and the World Commission on Protected Areas. He also chairs the Hope Spot Council of Mission Blue.
He was awarded the Fred Packard Award by the IUCN and WCPA in recognition of having dedicated his life and career to conservation, and for having been an outstanding and inspiring figure through his work on marine protected areas worldwide.
